ForensiT User Profile Manager:
Release Notes The User Profile
Manager team will post any issues or updates here.
Potential
Issue with GINA components
User Profile Manager installs a “stub” GINA (Graphical
Identification and Authentication dynamic-link library.)
It is important to note that currently GINA components
cannot be "chained." If another application on your
computer, such as a third party VPN client, relies on
its own GINA, it will not be compatible with User
Profile Manager. The use of GINAs is however, relatively
rare.
Mapped drives
and printer connections lost on logoff
This problem is resolved in build 1.00.0002 (Beta) and above
(install file User_Profile_Manager_1.00.02_setup.exe.)
Build
1.00.0003 (Beta) Release
This build fixes a problem where user accounts assigned
to profile were not added to local groups. The build
also allows group profiles to be deleted or renamed even
if they are in use, by deferring the delete or rename to
when Windows unloads the profile.

boxes, as well as support for mandatory profiles.
User Profile Manager 1.5 Released

Profile Manager 1.5 is build 1.05.1017. This build allows
the creation of mandatory group profiles.
User Profile Manager 1.6 Released
The retail release build of User Profile Manager 1.6 is
build 1.06.1018. This build includes some minor changes to
the GUI.
Windows Vista
The current version of User Profile Manager will not
work on Windows Vista. As previously mentioned, User Profile
Manager installs a GINA (Graphical
Identification and Authentication dynamic-link library.)
The GINA architecture has been superseded in Vista by a new
authentication architecture. A version of User Profile
Manager for Windows Vista is scheduled for release in 2007.
